Magnesium reduces brain injury markers
We examined how intravenous magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) affects patients undergoing surgery for brain tumors. Sixty patients were divided into two groups: one received magnesium treatment, while the other received a placebo.

The results showed that magnesium lowered significant protein levels linked to brain injury after surgery. However, it didn’t substantially change the overall functional outcomes for the patients. While MgSO4 appears safe and beneficial in reducing specific markers, more research is necessary to fully grasp magnesium's role in brain injury recovery.

Magnesium's role in brain tumor treatment
We explored the relationship between low magnesium levels and the development of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) in a patient with advanced breast cancer. After treatment with diuretics and chemotherapy, this patient experienced serious neurological symptoms alongside low magnesium levels.

Following intravenous magnesium supplementation, the patient showed remarkable improvement within 18 hours. This suggests that low magnesium, potentially linked to her treatment regimens, might have played a role in her condition. Thus, monitoring magnesium levels could be crucial in cancer care.

Magnesium nanoparticles reduce neuroblastoma growth
We explored how magnesium sulfide nanoparticles (MgS NPs) affect the SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cell line, which is a significant challenge in treating brain cancer. Using a green synthesis method, we created MgS NPs and tested their effects in cultured cells.

When applied at various doses, we observed that 75 µg/mL MgS NPs reduced cancer cell viability by nearly half. The treatment also increased oxidant levels in the cells, aligning with our findings from cytotoxicity tests. Overall, it appears that MgS NPs effectively hinder the growth of neuroblastoma cells.

Highly recommended! At just 26, I've had sleep issues for years, often not sleeping until 3-4am. After starting DOCTOR’s magnesium pill, I felt relaxed and experienced improved sleep quality. I now sleep around 12-1am, which is a remarkable change! Despite the larger pill size, it wasn’t a concern for me. I’m grateful for including magnesium in my regimen.

Good product for migraines. 80% of migraine sufferers are magnesium deficient, and after suffering migraines for 30 years, I've finally found a solution. I can now take two magnesium pills daily without pain! Menstrual migraines affect many women, leading to heightened headache frequency. Magnesium plays a crucial role in alleviating these symptoms by supporting nerve conduction. I've experienced a significant reduction in migraine severity since starting this supplement during times of stress, and I believe magnesium is vital for overall brain health.

Improved sleep quality
I am satisfied: My mother and I experienced frequent headaches, particularly my mother, who suffers from brain tumour-related stress and blood pressure issues. I prefer not to take Tylenol but find magnesium works better for us both. With the right diet, I have noticed significant improvements in my mother's sleep and overall health, leading to a reduction in headaches. Eating a balanced diet has allowed my mother to sleep better, which is a wonderful outcome.

Cognitive boost
1 people found this helpful
After experimenting with various magnesium forms over nine months, I found magnesium glycinate particularly helpful for sleep enhancement. I take it roughly 1.5 hours before bed, along with magnesium threonate for cognition, which has significantly reduced muscle convulsions and improved control during activities. I hope others with ADHD see similar benefits from focusing on nutrition.
2
Induces insomnia
Magnesium glycinate is meant to aid sleep, but it makes my brain buzz and causes insomnia, likely due to excess glutamate. I find other magnesium forms like malate more tolerable.
